France- Nice and Monte Carlo, Monaco (Part 3)

This is the last part of the France trip. We had a really good weather so far in this trip. Nice was warmer and more humid. We took a tram from the train station to the Air BnB apartment. The flat was okay. It was really a period building, so the air circulation wasn't the best. The air inside the apartment was musty, but at least it was clean and the location was in the old city. We ate dinner at a local tangine place. It was okay. The place in London that I normally go to has better tangine.
Busy street that was a couple of blocks from our place.

The next morning we went to the market. They sold local produce and some antiques.
We then walked along the beach towards the new city. The plan was to find the Russian Orthodox church, but after we got there, we found out that it was closed and under construction, which was disappointing. We weren't the only ones that didn't know. There were some other tourists that looked disappointed too. We walked back to the old city. Lots of walking that morning.

I tried a beignet with cream filling.
The next morning I walked up to the hill that enjoyed the beautiful view from the top looking over the old and new city and the pier.

The water was so blue and clear that you can see the bottom.

After the walk, I met up with Julie and Carrie, we walked around the market, had lunch and jumped on the bus to Monaco.

The bus drove along the French Riviera coast and since we headed East, we stood on the right side of the bus. I stood next to the exit door, every time the door was opened to let people off, I had a great photo op.

After the most beautiful 45 minute bus ride to Monte Carlo, we got off by the casino and walked towards the hill where the royal palace and Cathedral where Grace Kelly was buried.

The view on the way to the hill and from the top was absolutely stunning. Monte Carlo was just like what I've seen in magazines: blue skies, white yachts, calm water, nice (and very expensive) restaurants and cafes by the pier.

After that, we headed back down and walked along the beach.

We passed Japanese garden that was so serene.

We went to the casino to catch the bus back to Nice.

I'm so glad we had a chance to go to Monte Carlo at the end of the trip. It's been amazing.... another amazing adventure.
